NSAC Workshop

All too often Nordic students fail to go abroad not because of lack of talent or ambition, but because they don't have the necessary insight into the complicated application processes for foreign universities or for financial aid. At NSAC we are determined to make sure that you can go exactly as far as your motivation drives you without being hindered by application technicalities.

For that reason, we hold workshops throughout the year, approximately every other month, for Nordic students interested in studying abroad. NSAC Workshops unite and connect like-minded students with similar dreams and aims to inform these students about a certain study abroad topic in the most tangible and helpful way. Speakers at NSAC Workshops will always be experts in the area and have personal experience with the topic covered in the workshop, whether that be scholarship applications, US and UK bachelor degree applications, or graduate program (Master/PhD) applications.

Applying to Graduate Programs Abroad

Since having a masters degree from a top-tier international university can boost your employability significantly, it is particularly popular for Nordic students to study abroad at the graduate level. At the NSAC Graduate Workshop, the speakers will give you a comprehensive overview of the application processes for masters and PhD programs abroad with a focus on universities in the UK and US (many things are similar for other countries though). The workshop includes do’s and don’ts for writing your statement of purpose as well as tips on how to nail your standardised test (GRE, GMAT or Subject GRE). Since preparation for applying to graduate programs can begin several years in advance, anyone from final year of high school and up are encouraged to join us.

At the NSAC Bachelor Workshop we give you an overview of the UK and US educational systems and take you on a deep dive into the application processes with everything from personal statement and essays to standardised tests and teacher recommendations.

Finding and Competing for Scholarships

For many students one of the largest concerns about studying abroad is the amount of money needed to do so. At the NSAC Scholarship Workshop we aim to help you remove this potential barrier to studying abroad by sharing with you a roadmap to securing financial aid in the form of scholarships.
